NTU would like to thank our visitors from the Crownpoint Elders Center for visiting our institution and interacting with our students and staff. While on their visit, they got to visit several programs and engage in several activities including:
- Visiting the Hooghan, where Dr. Thomas gave an overview of NTU's Diné Studies program
- Participating in the Easter Egg Hunt with the Children from the Child Care.
- Eating lunch with the Children at the Child Care Center.
- Touring the NTU Radio Station and got interviewed by Malcolm McKerry
- Visiting classrooms escorted by students, and
- Dancing with our students and staff during a two stepping lesson.
It was an awesome day and an honor to have the Elders on campus with us! Thank you to everyone who helped out throughout the day and a big thank you to Virginia Edgewater and the Special Accommodations Office for hosting the event.
